Nope. I used to do various QC stuff for Microsoft back in the day, but nowadays the industry has become a massive problem what with overworking their employees and such... It's like every other week you get news where you find out publishers and/or developers like Epic, EA, and Ubisoft expect 100+ hour work weeks.

Considering the quality and issues with many games coming out, it sure seems that a lot of companies have lost their passion and are simply forcing their employees to put out games that are not ready, or have massive issues, or quite frankly just suck.

Being able to properly make content is key for creators. When you put creators in a position that is purely driven by financial greed, you will rarely see success and continued happiness to work and produce good content.

Working endless hours to make a crappy product sucks. Working endless hours on a project you are truly passionate about is worth it.

Everyone would say yes, unless they know what actual AAA game development is like.

Would love to, but only for certain companies that I would genuinely feel proud to be a part of - masterpiece makers

    e.g:

    Naughty Dog
    CD Projekt
    Rockstar

And if I could be anything, it would be a game tester @ $100/hour :D

I wouldn't mind spending a while in a basement with a friend coding some indie game!

Want to know how you can go from really enjoying something to hating it? Get a job doing that thing.
