    Requirements for APPS

Back on February 22, 2015, one of the members of the Minecraft Division introduced a new program to the event team called Acefire’s Personal Panda Squad (APPS). If you couldn’t tell, the person who created this team was @Acefire.

The team was created to help build, test, and find flaws in maps. The team was made so that the Event Coordinators could work on hosting the events and making the backend of the events work while the APPS members work on building the maps. Yes, you could just be promoted to an Event Coordinator and do this, but Event Coordinators have too much to handle so this team was created.

This team is a great way for you to get noticed within the Minecraft Division and the EGO Community. You get to see the behind the scenes of how we make Minecraft events and are there to help with it too!

If you ask any of our current or former APPS members, they will hopefully all tell you it’s a blast. You need to be professional when you are working, but there is plenty of room to have fun with what you are doing. When you join the team, you are treated as part of the event and Minecraft family that we have created.

If you are interested in signing up for APPS, make sure you are an e ranked member or higher. You may also apply from any division from EGO: this program is not limited to Minecraft admins.

If you meet the above requirements and are interested in becoming an APPS member, please private message the Minecraft Event Game Manager, Daa, on the forum. You will get a private message back with the application and a bit of history behind APPS. The application is just the beginning! Make sure you have strong answers when answering the application.

    Minecraft Monthly Event Rewards Information

    Minecraft Event Champion
Win the most amount of events in one month.

This pin is for the person who wins the most events in one month. With this pin, the winner will also receive a prize of 32 ΠDragon Eggs. To keep the playing field fair and open for all players to win, one person can not win two months in a row. If they do get first place again the second month, we will give it to second place. They will be eligible for the eggs again the following month.

    __________________________

    Participation Reward
Randomly selected from the Top Participation Winners.

This isn't an award you get on the forums. This is a reward that you are randomly chosen for if you are one of the people who are a Top Participant for a night. These people most likely attended for the whole night, and most likely capped out participation tokens for the night. The reason we added this is to give everyone another shot at winning more ΠDragon Eggs, as a thank you for participating in our events. As stated before, this award is completely random and all names wrote down are entered into the drawing. The first person drawn gets 24 ΠDragon Eggs, the second person gets 16 ΠDragon Eggs, and the third person gets 8 ΠDragon Eggs.

    __________________________

    Teamspeak Token Reward
Randomly selected from the Teamspeak Token Winners.

Once again, this isn't an award you get on the forums. This is another reward you are randomly chosen for if you are one of the Teamspeak Token winners for the month. The only way to get a shot at winning Teamspeak Token on a regular event night is by attending the event, and being in Teamspeak for more than 30 minutes. The reason we added this reward is to reward the winners with another shot at winning ΠDragon Eggs. There is only one winner a month and they get 16 ΠDragon Eggs.

    Minigames

    Host

    When
    Sunday at 8PM EST/ 7PM CST

    Where
    mine.edge-gamers.com --> /server events

    Summary of Minigames
Welcome to one of the oldest, still running, event nights in Minecraft! This night is filled with Minigames for all players to play! Climb to the top of sand tomb, watch your head as you have anvils dropping above, and make sure you watch your back in the classic game of Virus! These minigames are meant to be, fun, fast, and easy to play! We hope to see you at Minigames!

    Full Description of Minigames

    Participation
There is a cap of ten ΠDragon Eggs. Five of those come from actively participating in the event and the other five come from winning a minigame that is played during the night.

    Minigames
There are a bunch of minigames that you can play in one night. This next section will explain every minigame in detail.

    The Pit Lobby 3
During this minigame, your goal is to knock opponents off the edge of the fighting arena while trying to avoid the people who are doing the same thing to you. There are many different gameplays, kits, and effects during this game. This is all controlled by the Event Coordinator.
This minigame supports deathmatch and team deathmatch.

    Anvil Drop
To enter the arena, jump down into the hole. When you are in the arena, the game will start eventually. Look up into the sky to avoid the falling anvils! Make sure to test if you can jump or not as this can be a key factor in winning. Make sure to constantly look in chat for updates as to see if you should be the first one to die or the last one to die to win the round.

    Virus 1 and 2
This minigame is Minecraft's take on Hide and Seek. If you are a hider, you are trying to run and hide from the Virus(es). The virus(es) are going to be the ones that attack the hiders to try and gain members to their side to win. If the virus(es) win, the original virus will receive one ΠDragon Egg. If the hiders win, the remaining hiders will receive one ΠDragon Egg.

    Capture the Flag
This minigame is just like it sounds. You will be assigned to a team red or team blue. When you are selected and the game starts, your goal is trying to capture the other team's flag and return it to your base. Look at the scoreboard on the right for information about how much time and how many caps you need to win. The winning team will receive one ΠDragon Egg.

    Sand Tomb
This minigame is similar to sand tomb but with a different goal of winning. Look above as falling sand comes raining down on you! You will need to jump and jump to climb above the sand to reach the top. Trust the lava at the top as it is your way to victory!

    Where
    mine.edge-gamers.com --> /server events

    Summary of Guinea Pig Event
Guinea Pig Event? Are you calling us members guinea pigs? Yes, well. Kinda. You are Minecraft Guinea Pigs! In this night you will be taken around the event server to help test new aspects, features, and potential minigames. This night is dedicated to breaking things. The more things you can try to break, the better. It's better to find them now than when they are put into a night! If we don't have anything to test at the moment, don't worry, we have loads of minigames to play instead!

Full Description of Guinea Pig Event

    Participation
There is a cap of ten ΠDragon Eggs. Five of those come from actively participating in the event and the other five come from winning a minigame that is played during the night.

    Guineas' Goal
As a guinea pig for this night, you really only have one goal to achieve. Try to break the event. As a guinea pig, you are there to test the new events to make sure that they don't break, and if you do find something that is broken, tell the Event Coordinator so they can fix it. This night is mainly possible because of our awesome APPS members building new minigames, races, and fun events constantly. If you are interested in the building side of events, you can apply for APPS. Just contact the Minecraft Event Game Manager for information.

    Blockhunt

    Host

    When
    Tuesday at 8PM EST/ 7PM CST

    Where
    mine.edge-gamers.com --> /server events

    What is This Night About
Oh gosh, where is everyone?! Hidden of course! Welcome to Blockhunt! If you love virus but want to be more hidden then you'll love this night. Hide very carefully as the hunters will be out to get you! Make sure to hide where you blend in or else you'll be caught very easily! Take your time when hiding, as you can not fight back as a hider.

    Full Description of Race Night

    Participation
There is a cap of twenty ΠDragon Eggs. Ten of those come from actively participating in the event and the other ten comes from winning a round that is played during the night.

    Hiders
As a hider, it is your job to hide from the seekers. You will have one minute to hide while the seeker is kept in a box that isn't see through. Once that minute is up the seeker will be released to catch you. Your job is to find a block that is like you and hide near it like you are part of the map. After five seconds, you will freeze and it will look like you are a solid block. You can jump or more to unfreeze yourself and to move around. Make sure to stay still as you can not fight back the seekers when they find you. It's a one-hit kill when they find you!

    Seekers
As a seeker, it is your job to find the hiders. When the map starts, you will be kept in a box so that you can not see where the blocks are going. After the minute is up, you will be released to find the hiders. Hiders can be any block in the arena, so make sure you look carefully! Hit all the blocks in your way and you might get lucky enough to find a hider. Once you find the hider, they should die instantly as it is only a one-hit kill. Once they respawn, they will become a seeker. It is your goal as a seeker to find all the hiders and win.
