About Us

EdgeGamers Organization

eGO was founded on July 1st, 2006 by JohnT and Artimus with just a website and a single Day of Defeat Source Avalanche server. What was to come was the transformation of a small fledgling clan into a shining city on the hill.

To date, all eGO divisions are doing well under the guidance of the Community Managers, but mainly because of the dedicated work of Division Leaders and Advisors, who have volunteered for those important leadership roles. Our success is also attributed to eGO’s mission, which is to provide a place where gamers of all calibers, from all over the world, can meet for family friendly, respectful game play. eGO servers are branded “punk-free”. We often receive notes from players who only play in eGO servers, proclaiming appreciation for a place where families can game without being surrounded by the abusive stuff found on many other servers.

This clan’s foundation rests on honor, loyalty, and integrity. There is a heavy emphasis on maturity, fair play, helping others and having a fun and competitive gaming experience that all can enjoy. Because of this, eGO has attracted the most dedicated members and experienced administrators in the gaming world. eGO has become a place where each admin can and does make a difference. No matter what real life brings, in the world of eGO, you are valued and counted on to help make things right.

Understanding Our Structure

=(e)= members are admin recruits. They are learning the ways of eGO and are getting to know everyone within the community. They are held to higher standards than regular pubs on our servers. Although admin is not given at this point, they are watched closely to see who is capable of being an admin.

=(eG)= admins are probationary admins with limited admin ability. These members have read and signed off on our rules and admin regulations.

=(eGO)= admins are masters of mature gaming. These members know how to respond to almost all situations or how to contact the right people if they don’t. They have the tools needed to maintain punk-free servers and help teach others these important disciplines.

Managers are experienced members, essential to keeping eGO running. They are the first level of leadership and are the GO-TO people in the event of a problem. They often head key areas of a division, such as training, recruiting or events, and report to their Senior Management.

Senior Managers are high level, front-line leadership for each division, subordinate only to Community Managers, who they report directly to. They are wise, trusted members, often relied on for advice about community-wide matters.

Community Managers are ultimately responsible for the day to day operations on a global scale for our community. Each Community Manager oversees and represents a certain aspect of the community providing guidance and direction to meet necessary goals for eGO’s success. They are trusted to give wise council to the Executive team on all issues.

Executive Team consists of the Chief Information Officer, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Collectively, the CIO, COO and CEO drive the direction of the community and ensure the proper individuals are staffed on the Community Management team to ensure continued growth of EdgeGamers. These individuals hold the highest seat in the community and provide final judgement on policy and change.

Founding Members & Board of Directors

EdgeGamers recognizes it’s founding members and key figures in its continued success over the years. Although some may no longer be involved in day to day activities or Leadership, their contributions and efforts are in large part the reason why EdgeGamers has continued to excel over the last ten years and more.

Select founding members who have stayed consistent in their support since EdgeGamers inception in 2006 now sit on the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are tasked to monitor the growth and direction of the organization while providing key insight and ideas to the upper Management and Executive teams. The Board of Directors do not have direct day to day involvement in the management of the organization. Members of the Board, frequently referred by as Directors, are responsible for appointing a Chief Executive Officer.
