Do you ever find yourself tired of sitting in front of a small computer screen playing games? Ever wish you had a large screen to play on and really get involved with the game? Well Steam now has a solution to your problems!
Recently, Steam has put their Big Picture project into beta. Big Picture is a way to relax and enjoy Steam on your TV. Steam has been reformatted to work with a TV and game controller to allow easy and fun gaming from the living room. It's simple to grab a laptop and connect a dedicated PC to your TV so you can kick back and relax whether it be at home in a living room or even at the dorm.
Steam's Big Picture allows you easy access to use any game controller you are comfortable with but still supports the ability to liberate the mouse and keyboard and continue to game with those. With Big Picture, you can navigate Steam to chat with friends, surf the web to keep up with the latest news, and still play all the games you love with over 2,500 store titles!
Had it on may laptop connected to the TV through HDMI for a few years now.
Games are so much better in HD on a 60" TV.
And recently got steams pig picture and im thinking of moving my workstation downstairs now lol.
I love their GUI.
Cant wait to see the official release.
I tried this at a friend's house it works great. I really like the daisy wheel typing. it's better than those scroll keyboard, repeatedly pressing left and right.
dear valve, thank you for being awesome and knowing how to be a gaming company and challenging the mega corporations at their own game, and beating them at it and not being money hungry money grabbing douche bags
